Grid Awesomeness
I so so so want to do this in our home. On the big empty wall in the kitchen. Darrel and I were brain storming and he suggested mounting it all on one big board/sheet so that you really aren't wall papering the wall or attaching the frame to the wall. (Then it could come with us if/when we move).
Either way, I love the idea and it's going to happen, some time in some home we live in.

OMG, I had this exact same idea over the weekend! I was looking at the hallway wall of my apartment, where I attempted to hang an array of pictures. I didn't work. The wall is concrete so it's not exactly easy to make minor adjustments when things are crooked. I was wondering how to hang everything on a large, mounted frame... nice to know it can be done!
It must be THE idea, because just today I was at a friend's house and they had done something similar but without the cute frame. I, too, would love to try this. So gorgeous and not too pricey.
