Our Biggest Little Man

I sure am loving Jack lately. He is getting so big and grown up. He is really helpful around the house and loves to be my assistant. He and Eric play really well together, and are quite good at sharing when encouraged/prompted. He still has the best laugh of any kid I've ever met, it makes me smile every time I hear it. In the next week or so I am going to start teaching him to read. I found a blog by a lady that demonstrates/tells you how to go about it. I think he's ready. In some ways I think he's been bored lately, which leads to t-r-o-u-b-l-e. It has almost made me regret not sending him to kindergarten this year, but then I think that the full day kindergarten that we have here in town would have been too much for him. So perhaps starting reading will challenge him and keep him out of mischief. We're having some issues with an emerging addiction to video games, (hence the desire for an XBox in addition to the Wii and the PS3 that we already own), but we're learning how to master that and let Jack make some decisions about how he'll spend his time.
Overall though he is a fantastic little guy. Full of love and energy and just a dear boy.

He is such a great kid! I love the prayer for more video game equipment. I wonder how that prayer will be answered?

Good luck teaching him to read. I'm excited to check out the blog too. I think Yazzi is getting really close to being ready to reas as well.

At least he asked about the doughnut. He could have just broken off/ taken a big bite when your back was turned.
