We were hanging out in the boys' room on Sunday night prior to bedtime, and just having some fun. Jack really likes to climb the headboard and footboard for his bed, and Eric's circus training has begun as you can see! It is true that Dads play with their children in an entirely different way than Moms. I can see our boys having a lot of fun with ring master/remote control driver/builder Darrel in the future.
Poor little Eric was getting tired. He's very easy to read when he's tired, he starts rubbing his face and nose and if that doesn't grab our attention he starts squawking. I am really hoping that we have a much easier time transitioning him to sleeping through the night than we did with Jack. Keep your fingers crossed!

You're totally right about how Dads play with their children. Things that would not even cross my mind, Strater tries out with babies and children alike. Often it scares this mommy, but no one has been seriously injured yet, so I guess it's just a well-rounded experience.
Aren't two kids more fun than one? You feel like a "real" family and it's fun to get the kids interacting. You look like a very happy family!
I have been much more relaxed about my decision to expand my family and looking at your pics and reading Karlys comment makes me even more excited.
I just want to hold Eric- his little fists rubbing his eyes. Okay- thank goodness I am preggie with #2- pics like that can make any woman want to have more children.
