These photos were taken on my friend's lane, she babysits the boys when I work so right now I get to see these beautiful vistas when I drop them off and pick them up. So I guess for now I'll just enjoy whatever time I have with fall.

Beautiful Fall
I have such mixed feelings about fall. I love it because obviously it's beautiful and after a the hot days of summer it's nice to be able to use your oven, curl up on the couch in a blankie, with a good book and a cup of hot chocolate. But in a land like northern Alberta, where fall can last all of 2-3 weeks I kinda get this panicky feeling with the arrival of fall. You never know how much time you have left before the snow starts to fly and the roads get yucky and you have to bundle kids up in 30 layers just to go get a jug of milk. I think I could enjoy fall much more if I lived in an area like Salt Lake, where fall really is a whole season, three months of glorious colours, cooler nights and warm days.

Gorgeous pictures! I hear you on the panicky feeling: although it's still in the high teens every day, I keep thinking about finding the toques and mitts and getting them washed up. One day we'll just wake up and need winter gear!

I love the new look on your blog. This election (even though I can't vote :( 5 years abroad disqualifies me) is a tough one. American one is frightning but entertaining. If I were American I wouldn't vote for McCain based on Palin. Man, what are the chances he will kick the bucket during his term leaving that gun toting, inexperienced crazy as president? What a joke!
The fall is by far my favorite season, I love the picture you took with the wheat, I have many fond memories of wheat blowing in the wind on my grandpa's house.
