For two years now we've been saying that we should go to Elk Island. Finally we packed a picnic lunch, brought extra clothes and went straight from church. It was a nice day, although for the last day of August it felt a little too fall-ish. We were happy to finally get to see the park.

I have good memories of beautiful Elk Island - it worth the effort to get there! Looks like you had a lovely afternoon.
It looks so peaceful there. Talk about a spectacular view. Were there many other people there? I have to google Elk Island- sadly I am not familiar with it.
