Playing Catch Up: Load Day 12

Come h*ll or high water, I am finishing this month of layouts! So, I'm playing catch up from the days we were all ill. This is the colour challenge from Saturday. A pretty minimalist layout, I wanted the focus to be on our beautiful niece.

I hope Miss A realizes feels as gorgeous as I think she is, that she can see what I see when she looks in the mirror. When I was her age I always hid from the camera, and didn't like how I looked. It's taken me a lot of years to like the good things about my appearance and move on about the things I will probably never like. I think this is one of my regrets in life, that I wasted time worrying too much what other people thought of how I looked. Really -most people don't care that much. Not that a nice appearance isn't important, but that we are all our own biggest critics and nobody else notices all the flaws that I may see.

When I first met Darrel's family {A} was 6 -so it is sheer craziness to me that she is growing up. Going to Europe next year. Thinking about post high-school. I'm excited for her and at the same time it is sobering for me as Jack is 6 this year. The past ten years have flown by and I've watched {A} change before our eyes. I don't want my own kids to grow so quickly. sniff sniff.
